Cyndi Willerton

Bend Oregon Pilates Instructions Born in the Midwest and looking for adventure I packed my bags straight after graduating from the University of Missouri. Actually I left school early and had to go back in the summer & fall because I had the ski bug. In reality I finished school one semester early because I promised my family I could do it. This attitude has been with me all my life, if I want something I go and do it. This leads me to Pilates. Wanting to learn straight from the pros, I sought advice from my friend Debby Bowen. Mentoring with her and going directly to learn from the Peak Pilates Program, a respected classical Pilates system, I feel I have learned from some of the best. Of course this is an ongoing process that will always continue which can only enhance my students experience.

Prior to Pilates I worked for 12 years with professional cyclists as a massage therapist/seigneur. Training at the highly esteemed Boulder School of Massage Therapy and being lucky enough to have worked with some legends of the sport, has given me a unique insight to the needs and recovery of athletes (Debby's husband & my own included). This will & has spilled over to my teaching of Pilates. Currently I am a Real Estate Broker with Cushman &Tebbs Sotheby's Realty in Bend, Oregon.

Nancy

Bend Oregon Pilates Instructions Nancy danced before she could walk. Alright, maybe not, but she did climb out of her crib at nine months, beginning her lifelong love of movement, and a lifetime of worry for her parents. She attended the Dance Division of The Juilliard School in New York City, danced professionally, and then added actress to her resume when she moved to Los Angeles. After dancing on an injured foot for many years, she was introduced to Pilates in 1993 to help in her recovery. With a keen eye, an intuitive sense, and the training to modify the Pilates repertoire, Nancy can work with clients that range from rehab to accomplished athletes. She emphasizes practical application of Pilates, encouraging clients to apply mind/body awareness to their everyday lives. She knows the body has it's own intelligence, and reminds her clients to "think with the whole body". Nancy is Stott certified and is continually taking classes and courses to deepen her relationship with the mind and the body.

She is currently studying with Stott Pilates and is completing the essential and intermediate mat and reformer courses. In her program, she has worked under Melanie Byford-Young, the leading Stott instructor for Rehab Pilates. This additional training allows Bobbi to assess and treat chronic injury, muscular imbalance, and poor postural alignment. Bobbi has a Bachelors Degree in Human Development and Family Services from Oregon State University. While earning her Pilates certifications, she has worked in a variety of social services positions, ranging from residential psychiatric care for children and adolescents, to a therapeutic boarding school for teenage girls.
