We encourage all new clients to begin with private sessions to familiarize yourself with the equipment, exercises and address the specific needs of your body.
How long is each session?
All sessions are 55 minutes.
Do you offer free screenings?
Yes. In a 15-minute free consultation we will discuss what your needs and how Pilates will benefit you.
What to should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that is unrestrictive and somewhat fitted so that it is easier for your instructor to see imbalances in your body. Shoes are checked at the door, socks are optional. We sell toe socks in the studio that are specifically designed for Pilates.
How big is a class?
Classes are limited to 4 people in equipment classes and 6 people in mat / arc barrel classes.
How soon will I see results?
Some people notice results after their first session, depending on goals and health concerns.
How many times a week?
Like all activities the more you do it the greater the rewards. Joseph Pilates recommended pilates be done daily.
Does insurance cover Pilates?
Yes, it can depending on your insurance. Pilates is covered by most insurances as long as you have a physical dysfunction that has
been diagnosed by a physician or if you have self referral insurance option you can come into any Rebound Physical Therapy clinic and get a PT evaluation. If a Physical Therapist determines that you need core stabilization work then you are in the right place because Rebound Pilates is based on movement from a stable core. We are happy to look into your insurance for you.
What if I am in too much pain?
There are thousands of Pilates exercises and each exercise can be modified down to the smallest movement. If you are in a tremendous amount of pain Pilates may be the relief you've needed. We are very gentle and move slowly depending on your feedback. Nothing we do in Pilates should create additional pain for you.
What should I expect in my Pilates session?
Every session is customized to the individual's needs. If you looking for a great workout or in chronic pain, Pilates is your answer and is excellent for every body.
