Methodology:

Pilates called his method Contrology, because he his method uses the mind to control the muscles. The method focuses on the core postural muscles which helps keep the body balanced and are essential to providing support for the spine. Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath, alignment of the spine, and strengthen the deep abdominal muscles that support the body as a whole.
